Chris Carr Announces State Leadership of ‘Lawyers for Carr’
ATLANTA – On the heels of his nomination in the Georgia primary election, Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr today announced the state leadership of his “Lawyers for Carr” coalition who will support his candidacy for election as Attorney General on Nov. 6, 2018.
As lawyers from across Georgia watch Carr’s results-oriented work as the state’s top attorney, they are excited to engage with the campaign.
The Lawyers for Carr coalition of leading Georgia attorneys will be essential to the campaign in a variety of areas, including conducting legal research in support of the campaign and providing expertise on legal and public policy matters. Lawyers for Carr will also play an important role in assisting with election day operations.
Lawyers for Carr will be organized and led by Doug Chalmers, Managing Member of Chalmers, Burch & Adams LLC, and Brian McEvoy, managing partner at the Polsinelli law firm and a former federal prosecutor.

As the current Attorney General, Carr is applying his results-oriented style of public policy as head of the Georgia Department of Law. Attorney General Chris Carr locked up a boatload of conservative GOP support for his November election campaign against Democrat Charlie Bailey. Among the supporters of his “Lawyers for Carr” event on June 28 are some of the biggest names in Republican politics.
Former U.S. Sen. Saxby Chambliss, Gov. Nathan Deal, House Speaker David Ralston and U.S. Rep. Doug Collins are all honorary chairs of the organization.
So are a pair of former AGs – Mike Bowers and Sam Olens – as well as ex-state Rep. Ed Lindsey of the Dentons mega-firm and Pete Robinson, who chairs Troutman Sanders Strategies.
